HelEx genetic results presented at the AGRI4POL annual meeting

In March 2026, HelEx presented its Work Package 1.3 genetic results at the annual meeting of AGRI4POL, a European collaborative initiative on pollinators and agriculture. Clustering with AGRI4POL is part of HelEx’s strategy of building bridges with other EU-funded projects working on closely related topics.

Nicolas Langlade (INRAE) shared the latest results from HelEx’s genetic work, focusing on traits relevant to pollinator interactions and on how wild diversity can be mobilised to improve the pollinator-friendliness of modern sunflower varieties. The discussion explored how this work could feed into joint outputs with AGRI4POL partners.

For HelEx, contributing to AGRI4POL strengthens the European dimension of its research and helps place sunflower breeding within the broader conversation on agriculture and pollinator protection at EU level.
