{"id":1114,"date":"2025-10-15T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/helexproject.eu\/?p=1114"},"modified":"2026-04-13T16:20:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T14:20:25","slug":"helex-diss-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/helexproject.eu\/de\/helex-diss-13\/","title":{"rendered":"HelEx humidity modelling presented at the European Plant Phenomics Symposium"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In October 2025, HelEx brought its work on environmental modelling to the <strong>European Plant Phenomics Symposium (EPPS)<\/strong>, a major event for researchers and engineers developing new tools to measure and model plant performance in the field and under controlled conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>M. Gani and A. Comar (INRAE\/Hiphen)<\/strong> presented a machine-learning model developed within HelEx to estimate leaf and canopy humidity from field imagery and environmental data. The model is designed to complement direct measurements and to give HelEx breeders and ecologists a scalable way to link microclimate to plant response across large trials.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Presenting this work at EPPS matters for HelEx because phenomics is a fast-moving field and exposure to the wider European community is the best way to validate and improve new tools.
