In March 2026, HelEx joined an ETTAP webinar dedicated to sunflower and its interest for beekeeping. ETTAP coordinates experimentation and technical transfer in the French apicultural sector, and its webinars are followed by beekeepers, advisors and public authorities across the country.
Stan Chabert (INRAE) shared HelEx knowledge on how sunflower provides floral resources to pollinators, how this depends on varieties and environment, and what the agronomic and apicultural consequences can be. The webinar format allowed for interactive questions from beekeepers based on their field observations.
For HelEx, connecting with ETTAP helps anchor the project in the technical networks that serve the apicultural community. These exchanges ensure HelEx science is communicated in a language that matches the concerns of beekeepers and the decisions they make each season.
