In January 2026, HelEx contributed again to the annual meeting of the International Consortium for Sunflower Genomics (ICSG), where public research institutes and breeding companies align their efforts on sunflower genomics at the global level.
Nicolas Langlade (INRAE) represented HelEx and shared updates on the project’s genetic resources, phenotyping pipelines and early results on adaptive traits. The presentation gave ICSG partners a clearer picture of what HelEx will contribute to the shared knowledge base on Helianthus annuus.
Maintaining a strong link with ICSG is a strategic choice for HelEx because global coordination on sunflower genomics increases the value of each contribution and avoids duplications. It also gives HelEx access to the broader experimental networks that ICSG partners maintain.
